CHRISTIAN BAND CELEBRATES 12TH ANNIVERSARY
The Christian rock band Krusade celebrated their 12th year of music
ministry on August 27, 2003. Bassist Todd Clark and rhythm guitarist
Kevin Lauer founded the group in 1991 with vocalist Cammie (Eddy)
Loane. Lead vocalist Travis Wells, drummer Scott Eddy, and lead
guitarist Joel Davis subsequently joined the band to form its current
lineup.
Clark, Eddy, Lauer, and Wells are BMI-affiliated songwriters and
publishers. Krusade's original material is published by Godflower
Music Co., the band's independent publishing company. In addition to
performing with Krusade; Clark is the founder and president of FSO
Entertainment Group (Christian music and services) and Lauer is the
founder and president of Ohio Valley Web Ministries, all of which are
subsidiaries of Krusade Ministries. Each of the members of Krusade
are active in their respective home churches as teachers, speakers,
or music leaders.
Krusade is well-known for its adaptability to a variety of musical
styles in order to appeal to a more-diverse audience. They play for
youth festivals, nursing homes, and everything in-between. They are
currently working on their third recording project, which will
feature several songs from their current playlist as well as
brand-new material. The project is scheduled for release in the
spring of 2004 on Godflower Records.
The original lineup of Todd Clark, Kevin Lauer, and Cammie Loane will
be reuniting for a special anniversary concert at the Pleasant Hill
United Methodist Church on Washington County Road 42 on Sunday,
August 31 at 9:30 AM. An encore will be presented at the Lower Salem
United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on the same day. The Pleasant
Hill UMC is the church where the band was formed and where they made
their first public appearance in 1991. For details or directions,
